Ian and Katie chose the most beautiful day of the year to get married on Orcas Island. I am sure of it. Early morning fog rested in the evergreen trees high on the surrounding mountains and later burned off to reveal a gorgeous sunny day. They chose Rosario Resort and its beautiful view overlooking the water for their ceremony and reception. During the ceremony, it almost felt like we were the only people on the entire island. These two are so full of love — it is bursting at the seams. We feel so honored to have been able to capture such great love, not just between these two amazing people, but their amazing family and friends as well. It was a perfect day.

Christian and Andie : Port Gamble Wedding
Christian and Andie’s wedding was not only a special day for them, but it was also a special day for us, as these two lovebirds are two of our closest friends. Travis fulfilled his duties as best man but picked up the camera whenever there was an opportunity! Their day was beyond beautiful. From the lovely ceremony and the impeccable details to the unreal caketopper and custom designs from Assemble (Andie’s shop), everything was created and designed with care from Christian and Andie and their closest friends. Special thanks to Jeramie Shoda for helping us document the day.
Christian and Andie’s wedding is also featured on the lovely blog, Green Wedding Shoes. Take a look for more photos and inspiration.

Jim and Becky : Silverbow Farm Gig Harbor Wedding
This was one of the hottest days of the summer. What a beautiful day to have a wedding on this Puget Sound farm, celebrating an awesome couple! We loved spending the day with Jim and Becky and their loved ones. We loved that everyone had a hand in this. From Becky’s beautiful gown made by a dear friend to the details created by family and friends — it was truly a labor of love!

Kelsey and John : Capitol Hill Seattle Wedding
What a great way to close out the 2011 wedding season! Kelsey and John’s Sorrento Hill wedding had a fantastic vintage literature theme that felt so natural and fit them so well. Their day was full of big smiles and lots of love. We felt so fortunate to be a part of their day, as they honestly made us feel like we were part of the family. We love these two. Special thanks to our good friend, Jeramie, who joined us for the wedding in case I went into labor!

Anna and John : Georgetown Seattle Wedding
This is one of those weddings you don’t want to end. It was fun, sweet and unique. Just like Anna and John. They were married at the Georgetown Ballroom in South Seattle. There was barbecue and Molly Moon’s. There was dancing. There were Scandinavian wedding hats. And, of course, there was rain.

JSP Wedding Packaging
Here’s a look at how we’ve been delivering our weddings this year. We had custom USB drives created with our logo etched into the wood. This seemed a little more exciting than burning discs, and although they’re expensive, it is a nice investment. We bought kraft boxes from Rice Studio Supply and a little kids craft foam to help prop up the USB drives in the box with a little tape. We fill the rest of the box with shredded National Geographic magazines from the 50s and 60s. While it was a little painful to shred up these treasures, the shredded paper has great color and fits our brand. We insert a hand-stamped thank-you note along with one of our letterpress business cards. The box is stamped with our bug and wrapped in kraft paper.

Jane and Marques : Kent, WA Wedding
When Jane and Marques contacted us, saying they found us on Green Wedding Shoes, we were excited as we knew right away that they would have a beautiful wedding with awesome details! Jane and her mother worked together to build the unique details that added to their lovely day. Jane and Marques’ wedding was truly beautiful, and it was a pleasure to spend the evening with these two and their friends and family.

Mary and Riley : Seattle Pier Wedding
Mary and Riley’s beautiful waterfront wedding had the perfect weather for the location – lots of sun accompanied by lots of wind! Following their simple ceremony on Pier 70, family and friends joined Mary and Riley for their reception at Waterfront Seafood Grill. Mary and Riley looked fantastic as they celebrated on one of the prettiest days this summer!

Allison and Derek : Tacoma Wedding
I know we often say how sweet our couples are, but it’s true. We’re so fortunate to work with great people like Allison and Derek. As they were in town from Texas for their wedding, it was nice that they brought a little southern comfort with them. We were so impressed with their love for each other and their genuine appreciation and love for all of their guests. Their Tacoma wedding moved from the Hotel Murano, to Holy Cross Catholic Church, to Fircrest Golf Club. It was a lovely day. You couldn’t ask for nicer PNW weather or a more beautiful bride!
