Beautiful light. Beautiful couple. Walking around Queen Anne while photographing Ashley and Brian’s wedding portraits was one of those rare treats.

Shannon and Scott : Lake Tapps Wedding
Shannon and Scott were married during an intimate backyard ceremony with a few family members and friends. More guests arrived later to celebrate on the shores of beautiful Lake Tapps. Throughout the day, Shannon and Scott put emphasis on their two families becoming one, and many sweet moments accompanied the couple and guests as this happened.

Allie and Jason : Lewis-McChord Wedding
We recently received this email.
My name is Carrie Greif. I am senior at George Washington University, and before I know, my big sister, Allie, will be getting married. My sister met Jason in the corps of cadets at Virginia Tech. They were friends until junior year when finally, my sister’s bullying was seen for what it truly is, love. I am so excited to have such an incredible guy be a part of my family and to see my sister with the love of her life. I just never imagined it would all happen so soon.
My sister was informed last weekend that she was getting deployed to Afghanistan before the end of June. Jason and Allie knew they wanted to get married before word of her deployment. I guess this news just rushed fate. Given the short notice there is no chance of a big ceremony or really any ceremony at all. I am currently living in Austria and am flying home as soon as possible to see my big sister. My sister is my world, she is my rock and my everything. I am asking for your help. I want to give her and Jason something I know they will remember forever. I know that you could show the beauty of my sister and Jason’s story. I know this is last minute. I am hoping there is some way you can help me make something special for a couple that is truly remarkable.
We felt so honored to be a part of Allie and Jason’s wedding. With only a handful of family and friends who traveled across the country, we witnessed their sweet day. It wasn’t about extravagance or impressive details; it was about love and family.

Sarah and Eric Photobooth : Seattle
We love photobooths! They bring out the wacky youthfulness in everybody! Check out this slideshow of Sarah and Eric’s wedding! Special thanks again to Jeramie Shoda for his help on this one.
Gaylord and Meggan : Tacoma Wedding
Gaylord and Meggan were married on a rainy day in their backyard. Meggan’s love for all things modern set the stage for a beautiful day full of gorgeous details. The rain was continuous throughout the afternoon, but it stopped just as Meggan walked down the aisle to begin the ceremony! Gaylord was beaming with happiness all day, and it was magical to see the joy in his eyes as he looked at his bride. We had a blast participating in their wedding day.
Sarah and Eric: Puget Sound Wedding
Sarah and Eric were married in a sweet backyard ceremony on the Puget Sound and finished the evening at an exciting soirée at the extremely chic Sole Repair Shop on Capitol Hill in Seattle. It was wonderful to hear all of their friends express their love for the couple. Sarah is a successful lawyer, and Eric recently finished his military service and is preparing to write a book. They are both extremely talented people and it was wonderful to be a part of their wedding and see the love that their friends and family have for them. Oh, and the party was off the hook! Thanks to Jeramie Shoda for helping out with the day, especially with the photobooth. (Full photobooth post coming soon.)
Jeff and Vanessa : Graham, WA Wedding
Jeff and Vanessa were married on a beautiful day in the shadow of Mt. Rainier. These middle school sweethearts and their two lovely daughters, Kaeliann and Lila, are a beautiful family and we are so happy that we were a part of their wedding and were able to capture these memories.
Will and Lynette: Seattle Wedding
Will and Lynette’s wedding was a beautiful, family-filled event, as weddings should be. We felt very fortunate to document this wedding, not only because Travis and Will grew up together, but also because the couple is madly in love and they are fun people with loving hearts — just like the rest of their family. Will is grown up now, so he goes by Will. But to Travis he will always be Billy. Special thanks to Jeramie Shoda for assisting.
Sangeen and Jameela : Vashon Island Wedding
Sangeen and Jameela’s gorgeous day combined elements from his Pakistani culture and her Indian culture. Friends and family came from different parts of the world for their day, resulting in a unique celebration that was truly global. Jameela’s dress was handmade in Pakistan, and Sangeen’s sherwani came from India. The details were beautiful and the festive nature of the day was infectious. We have never seen a wedding with more dancing! The love between Sangeen and Jameela throughout the day was so evident and sincere, and we feel so fortunate to have been a part of this wedding.
