One of the best parts of being a photographer is hunting for color and light. And Carmen and David’s engagement session was one of those satisfying moments where the two worked together so beautifully. These lovebirds were so easy to photograph! They’re such a sweet couple, and we can’t wait for their July wedding at Lake Crescent!

Kelsey and John : Suzzallo Library
Kelsey and John are getting married today! When we shot their engagements in September, Kelsey was hoping to get some shots at the Suzzallo Library Reading Room at UW. But as school had yet to start, it was not open. So I told them that when they came back up to Seattle before their wedding, we would hit up the library, and I’m glad we did.

Kelsey and John : Seattle Engagement
When Kelsey wrote us to describe themselves, we got excited. They mentioned a love for music (including The XX, one of our favorite bands) and books, traveling through South America, KEXP and Sonic Boom Records — things about which we feel equally passionate. As we photographed them, we noticed even more similarities. We spent the morning on the UW campus, at Sonic Boom Records and around Ballard, photographing and laughing with this sweet couple. We look forward to their wedding in Seattle next month!
